Every Comera splitboard has a special housing for your climbing skins.
They’ll be fixed on the board by means of an inelastic strap with a knot or washer to be stuck to the end.
This system has 4 great benefits:
• The chance to remove the skins even with your oversize gloves (your frozen fingers will thank you);
• The chance to use any skin with a minimum width of 130mm;
• A better straining of the skin and lower risk of unsticking on the top;
• The choice to switch in downhill configuration with the skins on the board.
Nothing tricky, it’s the easiest system used in ski mountaineering which we propose for the snowboard kingdom.
The sceptic ones could, in any case, use the traditional steel hoop.
